Free Health Scheme
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has promised to provide free health services to all Amaravati residents as on 08-12-2014, as part of the Land Pooling Scheme. Accordingly, the government has issued G.O. No. 52, dated 12-05-2016, stipulating guidelines for implementing the health scheme.

NTR Vaidya Seva Trust free health services
Eligibility
As per the said G.O., all the residents of the Amaravati city, who are residing in the area as on 08-12-2014, are eligible to get free health services of NTRVST (NTR Vaidya Seva Trust), based on either regular health card or Amaravati Resident Card.

Implementation
While implementing the G.O., all the residents of Amaravati were provided with Amaravati Resident Cards in addition to the regular health cards, which were already provided to BPL families in Amaravati city area. Though as per the G.O. health services can be provided based on either of the cards, as a practice, only Amaravati Resident Cards were being accepted. Consequently, regular health cards were not being honoured by network hospitals for Amaravati residents.
